ICODA supported twelve Driver Projects; each of which not only achieved their own research goals, but also supported the longer-term development of our platform. Ten of these projects were identified through the Grand Challenges ICODA pilot initiative.
The variety of research questions, all of which related to the COVID-19 pandemic, meant that each Driver Project had its own characteristics and specific requirements. In the spirit of open science, all of the outputs and tools that we co-created were made publicly available by the project teams and meta data made findable and accessible via our Gateway.
The Driver Projects had a truly global reach – the image above gives an overview of the Grand Challenge ICODA pilot projects and existing Driver Projects added even more geographic diversity to our network.
